For our Customer Service week at Mediacom, the employees out of the Ames and Carroll offices decided to go paintballing. The Seven Oaks people were very accommodating. We ended up having 23 people playing and they had everything ready and waiting when we got there. The guys that did the safety instructions were very thorough and made sure everyone followed the rules. They had plenty of room up by the paintball field that we set up some boards and played bags while waiting to play after getting out. I've had many ask if we could do it again next year. Thank you for the Great Time!

I had my wedding here and everything was amazing! Sara and Maddie truly went above and beyond with everything! They even offered last minute to assist with finding a new hair and make up artist when my cancelled the day before! They were extremely accommodating to all our needs and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

My son had a great 10th birthday party at Seven Oaks this past weekend on the paintball course. The outdoor area was great for our group of 8 for their first real paintball experience. The workers were awesome walking the boys through how to use their equipment and getting them taken care of when the CO2 tanks needed to be refilled. Would highly recommend Seven Oaks Recreation for a unique birthday party!

My son and his wife had their wedding reception here. We couldn't have asked for a better venue! The building is beautiful. They even had the patio/fire pit area ready for our guests! The staff was amazing. They made sure everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Highly recommended.

Fun time! Clean lodge. Good size for kids beginner to intermediate skiers. Food at the lodge was pretty good. We really liked the hot mini donuts! Plenty of space and nice atmosphere.

4 miles West of Boone off US 30. Best place in central Iowa, for snow skiing and tubing. Well groomed and maintained. Equipment rental and lessons available. Food, beverages, and affordable pricing. All things considered, I give this 4 stars for snow skiing in central Iowa. Get out there and have fun!

Excellent river kayaking experience! Seven Oaks staff made everything easy, from online reservation, confirmation, day of float. Prices were reasonable, staff was friendly & helpful! River float was perfect! Great time on the water!

This place is an upgrade from skiing at Mt Crescent. The lifts run smoothly, lots of runs with different difficulty options. The lodge was very nice with lots of room and food/snack options. I just wish it was easier to access from Omaha and not 3 hours away haha.

ABOUT SEVEN OAKS RECREATION

Seven Oaks Recreation is family-owned and operated and offers year-round outdoor recreation in central Iowa. Our seasonal activities include skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, canoeing, kayaking, river tubing and paintball. We also provide a VERY nice facility that can be rented for wedding receptions, family reunions, class reunions, summer/winter retreats, birthday parties, corporate meetings/retreats, team building and other activities.

Our winter activities include skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. We offer 650 ski rentals, 250 snowboard rentals, and 120 snow tubes to outfit all ages. Our slopes consist of 11 runs varying from beginner to expert and offer a terrain park, rail yard, beginner area and a 4-chute snow tube park. We have 2 triple chairlifts and 2 surface lifts to make your journey to the top easy.

“The Lodge at Seven Oaks” provides ample seating with a great view of the slopes, fast food, hot drinks and Coal Creek Lounge. Please note that outside food from competing restaurants, crockpots, kettles, or outside alcohol are not permitted. Skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing at Seven Oaks makes for a great family or group activity for all ages – group rates and FREE ski and snowboard lessons available. Seven Oaks also offers several nightly discount programs. See YOU on the slopes!

Seven Oaks Recreation’s summer activities include full-service canoe, kayak and river tube floats on the Des Moines river 7 days a week. We are excited to be celebrating 19 years of full-service river floats! We offer 64 canoes, 50 kayaks and 300 river tubes and plenty of cooler tubes for your paddling or floating adventures. Even if you don’t know how to canoe or kayak, you will enjoy our canoe/kayak/river tube floats. Our river trips are fun for beginners as well as experienced canoe/kayak paddlers. You can paddle your way down the river, or simply relax, float, and enjoy miles of wooded bluffs. We can arrange a river float for you, your family or group.
