Seven Oaks is the place to canoe/kayak, river tube, and paintball in central Iowa! Located in Boone – a quick drive from Ames, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Johnston, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, Grimes, Adel, and other surrounding communities.

Guide for Getting Started with Paintball

Our paintball field is by appointment only; therefore, reservations are required. Seven Oaks offers paintball appointments seven days a week. Complete a booking online to reserve your paintball outing.

Upon arrival, all members of your group must check in at the main ticket office located at the base of the ski slopes This is where you will turn in your signed waivers and purchase your drinks and snacks before heading up to the fields.  Please check in 30 minutes prior to your start time.

After checking in, you can drive to the paintball field located at the top of the hill. As you leave our main parking lot, take a left and head west up the gravel road (222nd Drive) to the top of the hill where you will see the paintball entrance. Follow the signs to the field.

Wear old clothes, the paint washes off, but to be safe wear something that can get dirty. We recommend wearing long sleeves (jeans and a long sleeve shirt) as getting hit does sting a little but covering your skin will soften that blow.

Paintball Field and Rental Information (2026 rates)

Have you ever wanted to challenge your friends, family, or co-workers to a duel? You can at Seven Oaks! Offering a strategically bunkered field and rental equipment on site, our facility makes for a great group outing. We cater to birthday parties, bachelor parties, church groups, corporate outings, military groups, families and many other private get-togethers. We suggest ages 10 and older. We do not allow players under 8 years old- it is up to you to monitor the ages in your group.

Add 7% sales tax to all rates. Prices subject to change.

Entry/Rentals/Paintballs

$15/person entry

$12 marker (gun) and face mask rental
$20.00 for 500 rounds (minimum purchase per person)

Extra Paintballs (must use Seven Oaks paint only- for most people, 500 rounds are good for approx. 2 hours of play)

Field opened with online reservation. Once you book online you will be emailed a confirmation.

• A $392 minimum spend is needed to open the field (plus tax).
• If you cancel within 5 days of your reservation, the entire amount is forfeited.
• Paintball is played rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, alternative accommodations may be provided.
• Cut off time for purchase is 48 hours in advance. New reservation requests within 48 hours of desired play are not guaranteed- we will do our best to schedule staff and book your group. Call us at 515-432-9457 ext. 300.

Group Discounts

A paintball outing at Seven Oaks is an affordable way to get your group together for a great time. We offer a netted outdoor paintball field with all the needed equipment available to rent. Groups of 12 or more players will receive a 15% discount on regular rates. Group leader is responsible for lump sum payment.

Hours
Field is available by reservation in 2-hour increments from mid-April through the end of October, seven days per week.

Dates may vary depending on temperatures- daytime highs need to average 40 degrees or above.

Releases
All participants must sign a Summer Activity Waiver. All players under the age of 18 must have a signed release from a parent or guardian.
