Seven Oaks is the place to ski, snowboard and snow tube in central Iowa! Located in Boone – a quick drive from Ames, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Johnston, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, Grimes, Adel, and other surrounding communities.

Seven Oaks offers 650 ski rentals and 250 snowboard rentals to outfit all ages. Our slopes consist of 11 runs varying from beginner to expert and offer 2 terrain parks, rail yard and beginner area. We have 2 triple chairlifts, 2 rope tows, 1 handle tow and an exhilarating snow tubing park with its own handle tow lift!

“The Lodge at Seven Oaks” provides ample seating with a great view of the slopes, fast food, hot drinks, and Coal Creek Lounge. With plenty of activities fit for the whole family, including skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing we will see YOU on the slopes!

Tickets and rentals may be purchased up to 4 weeks in advance. Tickets and rentals are not required to be purchased in advance.
Simply choose the date you want to ski or snowboard at Seven Oaks to see all the available tickets/rentals (additional tickets/rentals available in person). A limited amount of Weekend and Holiday Lift tickets and rentals can be pre-purchased online. We will sell 25% of our lift tickets and rentals online and 75% will be available for purchase onsite, day of. All other days tickets and rentals are purchased onsite only- day of your visit. (for example: tickets for Wednesday through Friday must be purchased at the ticket office. )
Once you have made your selection and purchase, an email confirmation/receipt will be immediately sent to you. (check your junk folder)
Save time when checking in by printing and signing the Seven Oaks daily liability waiver before you arrive.
Helmet and snowboard boots only rental are only available in person.
Everyone with advanced rentals purchased is strongly encouraged to arrive within the first hour of their purchased morning or evening session.

Lift Ticket: Your lift ticket is your access to the snow. Includes beginner mini lesson.
Rental: Ski Rental includes skis, boots and poles. Snowboard Rental includes boots & board.
Helmet rental additional $8 per day.
Boots only rentals available for $20: restricted to snowboard and not ski.
We have ski boots down to little kid size 8 and all the way up to men’s 15. We have snowboard boots down to little kid size 11 and all the way up to men’s 15.
No personal sleds, tubes, discs, etc. are allowed on the snow. All ski and board equipment used on the slopes must have a metal edge and bindings.
ID required for rentals.
Seniors age 65+ qualify for group rates.
Add sales tax to all prices.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Included with purchase of a lift ticket, we provide beginner mini lessons to skiers and snowboarders ages 7 and above. We also offer private lessons for ages 4 and up. Details can be found on our Ski and Snowboard Lessons page.

Take a Class Earn a Pass

This package comes complete with earning a Nights Only Season Pass when you complete the program. The package includes 3 Lift tickets, 3 Rentals, and 3 1½ hour classes. Restrictions apply, see Flyer for details…more info can be found on our Ski and Snowboard Lessons page.
