Canoe or Kayak Trip

2 to 4 hour float covering 7 miles*

The Des Moines River is great for canoeing and kayaking! Passing under the staggering 185 ft. tall Kate Shelley High Bridge, this seven mile stretch of the river is rich with scenery and great sandbars to stop at. The float is approximately 2-4 hours, depending on how much you paddle versus float and how much you stop at sandbars. Enjoy a scenic float that will take you under one of the longest and highest double-track railway bridges in the world, with trains passing 185 feet overhead approximately every 15 minutes.
